The South Columbus High volleyball team won its sixth straight match Wednesday, sweeping 3A stronghold West Brunswick by scores of 25-18, 25-19 and 25-20 at Shallotte. It was the Lady Stallions’ second win of the season over their non-conference rival. Last fall, West Brunswick handed SCHS its only two regular-season looses.
Bailey Dyson had 15 service points and Mattie Johnson had 15 for South Columbus, which is scheduled to play host Three Rivers Conference opponent South Robeson today.
The South Columbus junior varsity team suffered its first loss of the season as it bowed the WBHS jayvee by scores of 25-15, 16-25 and 25-20.
Also, the Whiteville High girls tennis team stayed unbeaten on Wednesday, takin a 9-0 victory over North Brunswick. The Lady Wolfpack improved is season record to 4-0.
