WHITEVILLE — Pearlie James “P.J.” Brown, 78, died Friday, April 25, 2014 in an automobile accident.
Final rites will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 3 in the Whiteville High School Auditorium with Bishop Tony Butler officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Moriah Church Cemetery. Viewing will be held from noon-7 p.m. Friday, May 2 at Smith Funeral Home and Saturday, May 3 one hour prior to the service at the high school.
He is survived by his wife, Larcene Brown; his children, Wanda Pollard, Teresa Ashley, P. Jerome Brown and Anthony Brown, all of Jersey City, N.J., Annie Royster of Temple Hill, Md., Larry D. Williams and Gregory Williams, both of Trenton, N.J., Tony M. Rhodes of Jacksonville, Dennis Rhodes of Reading, N.J., Kimberly Williams of Evergreen, Katrina Adams of Charlotte; one sister, Laurine Johnson of Whiteville; and several grandchildren.
