Gator baseball trio sign letters-of-intent

East Columbus High School senior Caleb Andrews signs a letter-of-intent Monday to play baseball at UNC-Pembroke. Andrews, a lefthander, has been regarded as one of the area’s top high school pitchers over the last three seasons. He is pictured with his parents (seated) Curtis Andrews and Jennifer Melvin and ECHS baseball coach Karl Bracey. UNC-Pemboke competes in the Peach Belt (NCAA-Division II) Conference.

East Columbus High School senior Allen Bracey signs a letter-of-intent Monday to play baseball at Southeastern Community College. Bracey, a three-year starter at second base for the Gators, is pictured with his parents (seated) Suzanne and Karl Bracey and (standing) SCC athletic director Clarence Ganus and SCC baseball coach Scott Johnson. Karl Bracey is also the ECHS head baseball coach who played baseball at SCC in 1981 and 1982.

Ganus, a three-sport athlete at ECHS who pitches and plays third base for the Gator baseball team, is pictured with his parents (seated) Linda and Clarence, and (standing) ECHS baseball coach Karl Bracey and SCC baseball coach Scott Johnson. Clarence Ganus is also SCC athletic director.
