LORENA FAYE MILLER

SHALLOTTE -- Lorena Faye Miller, 79, died Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2007, at Autumn Care of Shallotte. Born in Swisher County, Texas on Dec. 12, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Joseph A. and Hattie Julia May Semsch. She was a retired nurses aide.

A memorial service was held Saturday, March 3, at the Supply Chapel of Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. David Stratton officiating. Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Home of Supply handled the arrangements.

Survivors include her daughters, Joyce Miller Jacobs and Anita Fayron Miller, both of Shallotte; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy Lewis.

TABOR CITY – Martha G. Floyd, 61, died Thursday, March 1, 2007, at Bladen County Hospital, Elizabethtown.

Arrangements will be announced by Peoples Funeral Home of Whiteville.

PATRICIA RICHARDS SCOTT

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Patricia Richards Scott, 53, formerly of Hallsboro, died Monday, Feb. 26, 2007, at Prince George’s County Hospital in Cheverly, Md.

Final rites were held Saturday, March 3, at Second St. Paul Baptist Church in Hallsboro with the Rev. Jerry Ganus. Burial followed in the Hallsboro Memorial Park. Peoples Funeral Home of Whiteville handled the arrangements.

Friends may visit the family at the home of Gladiola Boone, 218 East Webster Street, Whiteville.
