LORIS, S.C. -- Minnie Suggs Hester, 83, died Wednesday, June 13, 2007, at Loris Hospital.
She was a member of Camp Swamp Methodist Church and a native of Horry County. She was the daughter of the late Zealous and Cathaleen Suggs and the widow of Curtis Hester. She was predeceased by a son, Ernest Hester.
Final rites were held Saturday, June 16, at Camp Swamp Methodist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Inman Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
Survivors include a son, Elbert Hester; two grandchildren and one great-grand.

NAKINA -- James Fay Williams, CSGM USA RET, 78, died Sunday, June 17, 2007. He was born Sept. 11, 1928 in Clarksville, Tenn. the son of the late Roy and Jessie Harness Williams.
He was the widower of Nollor Russ Williams.
Williams served in the Special Forces and as a paratrooper in Vietnam having earned a purple heart, bronze and silver star as well as other commendations. He helped establish ROTC in three schools in Brunswick County and also retired with the Brunswick County School System.

CERRO GORDO -- William Clinton “WC” Willoughby, 84, formerly of Evergreen, died Thursday, June 14, 2007, at his residence. He was the son of late Paul and Lucy Kinlaw Willoughby Sr. and the husband of the late Anna Marcinsky Willoughby.
Willougby was a veteran of the United States Navy, he served aboard the USS Herbert in the Atlantic Theater during World War II.
